In the Mail: God Behaving Badly: Is the God of the Old Testament Angry, Sexist and Racist?

I received in the mail yesterday (courtesy of InterVarsity Press) David T. Lamb’s “God Behaving Badly: Is the God of the Old Testament Angry, Sexist and Racist?”

I look forward to reading this and writing a broad overview on the book. Perhaps it will cause discussion on certain topics. As a lot of us know, O.T. ethics has been a raging battlefield for debate. With Paul Copan’s article “Is Yahweh a Moral Monster?”, his subsequent publication in book form “Is God a Moral Monster?: Making Sense of the Old Testament God.”(Highly recommended), Thom Stark’s rebuttal tome of an eBook“Is God a Moral Compromiser?”, and lastly the rebuttals over at Parchment and Pen in response to Stark has formed quite the conversation.

I’m looking forward to read David T. Lamb’s contribution in this currently debated field!
