I saw Simon Gathercole give that lecture last month here in Houston. Brian, since you’re living in San Antonio now, you should find the time to come on over here and visit the theological library where Gathercole was filmed at.
It’s a pretty neat place! Its called the Lanier Theological Library, and its open weekdays for anyone to visit and do research. They also have lectures like Gathercole’s every few months. If you go to the libraries website, you can sign up for them. All free!

You’re welcome!

I want to visit the Lanier Theological Library. It is on my “discovering Texas” agenda!

Brian,
If you come on a Friday around 4pm you can read Hebrew with Emanuel Tov, the editor of the Discoveries in the Judean Desert series.
He’s there doing research for a few months, and every Friday from 4:30pm to 6pm he holds a Hebrew reading class. I don’t know Hebrew, but its interesting to hear him exegete the text.
