From the Dust: Conversations in Creation

I have been discussing creation, evolution, Adam and Eve, and the Book of Genesis a lot on this blog in recent weeks. I am excited to see this trailer released for a film called “From the Dust: Conversations in Creation” that discusses the Christian worldview as it relates to the evolutionary paradigm. Some of the people interviewed include N.T. Wright, Alister McGrath, Peter Enns, Chris Tilling, Nancy Murphy, and John Walton. It appears to be the first documentary/film that deals seriously with this question. Take a look at the trailer and tell me what you think (also the website is linked above):

  1. Looks really interesting to me. I love the discussion so far. Walton has grabbed my attention , Enns’ current view with me doesn’t resonate. I don’t think we will end up thinking we needed Paul to be wrong on theology to understand that the Bible doesn’t tell us everything and one thing is how He does what He does.

  2. At the very least I appreciate Enns’ willingness to try to address this subject. If someone has come to the conclusion that the evolutionary paradigm is backed by sufficient evidence then they must decide what to do with the narrative of Scripture. Many might walk away from the Bible altogether, so for those who want to try to reconcile those two world I think Enns’ work is helpful.

  3. It’s going to happen sooner or later (that we have to struggle with these things) as we can see from the ‘church’s’ example dealing with Galileo.
