I saw this video for the first time at The Justice Conference earlier this year (HT). It is performed by spoken word artist Micah Bournes. The title is “Thank God for Evolution,” which is a bit of tongue and cheek since Bournes presents us a race that is as wicked as ever. As the debates over evolution and the historical Adam continue (e.g. see Peter Enns’ post “What’s the REAL Problem with No Historical Adam, Really?”) to unfold I think this piece of art provides us with another way of thinking about what is at stake.
